Mechanical Process Engineer | Process & Product Analysis · Recycling & Separation Systems
Every process produces data and that data tells a story: where performance drops, where losses occur, where efficiency can be gained. The signals are there. The question is whether someone is reading them and whether they have the engineering background to understand what they mean.
I am a freelance mechanical process engineer with roots in mechanical design and four years of applied research at TU Bergakademie Freiberg in recycling and separation systems. My research resulted in two peer-reviewed publications in recycling and separation technology.
This translates into:
▸ Systematic analysis of processes and products — identification of performance limits, loss mechanisms, and inefficiencies
▸ Root cause analysis — linking observed effects to underlying technical causes
▸ Data-driven analysis — processing and interpreting measurement and operational data with Excel and Python
▸ Technical research and state-of-the-art analysis
▸ Concept development and engineering documentation — from analysis to implementation-ready outputs
▸ Design support where required — targeted modifications and prototype concepts
This is particularly relevant when:
▸ Process data exists but has not been systematically evaluated or interpreted
▸ Unexplained performance losses in processes or equipment — no clear root cause identified yet
▸ Inconsistent separation results or unstable process behaviour despite available data
▸ Structured technical assessment needed before investment, redesign, or process change
I don't replace your engineering team. I provide focused analytical capacity — remote, flexible, without the overhead of a permanent hire.
